This bill prohibits a physician from performing or inducing an abortion on a pregnant woman within 24 hours after the woman receives certain transabdominal ultrasound imaging, unless the woman is a victim of rape or incest and the incident is reported to law enforcement. The medical professional performing the required ultrasound must have specific training, determine the gestational age of the fetus, and offer the woman the option to view the ultrasound, receive a printed copy, and hear the fetal heartbeat. The woman is not required to accept any of the offered items. The facility must maintain a printed copy of the ultrasound image for at least 7 years, and a physician who violates this law is subject to a penalty of up to $2,500.
