This bill directs the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct a study on federal funding made available to entities located in the People's Republic of China or majority owned or controlled by the Chinese Communist Party for research purposes over the 5-year period prior to the bill's enactment. The study will assess the total amount of federal funding, the number and types of entities that received such funding, the requirements for awarding, tracking, and monitoring the funding, and other relevant data. The Comptroller General will provide a briefing on the available data within 120 days and submit a report on the findings of the study within 240 days to the specified congressional committees.
