This bill amends Georgia's election laws to require the immediate counting and tabulation of ballots after the close of the polls, without any breaks or delays, until the counting and tabulation is completed. It removes the provision that allowed the superintendent, at their discretion, to stop the counting after all contested races and questions were counted, as long as the results were posted and the ballots returned to the ballot box. The bill also requires each precinct to notify the election superintendent of the number of ballots cast and provisional ballots cast as soon as possible after the polls close, and for the superintendent to post this information publicly.
