This bill adds a new section to existing Idaho law to provide for the post-election audit of ballots. County clerks must report the results of the audits to the Secretary of State within the specified timeframe. 3) The Secretary of State may order additional post-election audits if warranted by the initial audit results, but these additional audits must be limited to the problems identified in the initial order. 4) County clerks may use certain funds to cover the costs associated with the post-election audits ordered under this bill.
