This bill proposes to distribute a portion of the Indian gaming revenue to the Lottery Tuition Fund in the state of New Mexico. Specifically, it would appropriate one-fourth of the net receipts of all revenue sharing paid to the state in the prior quarter pursuant to a tribal-state class III gaming compact, up to a maximum of $20 million per fiscal year, to the Lottery Tuition Fund. The distribution would be made on the fifteenth day of the month following the date the revenue-sharing money is received by the state. The effective date of the bill is July 1, 2021.
