This bill amends the Government Code to require municipalities with a population of 10,000 or more to conduct administrative investigations of alleged misconduct by municipal firefighters in accordance with certain procedures, including the requirements of Section 143.123 or 143.312(a)-(k) of the Local Government Code or other substantially similar procedures adopted by the municipality. The bill also specifies that it supersedes any conflicting provisions in a meet and confer or collective bargaining agreement, but allows such agreements to impose additional investigation requirements as long as they do not conflict with the statutory requirements.
