This bill amends existing law to provide for a commission on continuous improvement plans and student achievement measures, and to revise provisions regarding staff evaluations, college and career advising, and literacy intervention. Specifically, the bill establishes a state commission to study and discuss continuous improvement plans and student achievement data, requires school districts to report on measurable student achievement and student success indicators, modifies the requirements for professional and advanced professional endorsements for instructional and pupil service staff, enhances college and career advising provisions, and updates the literacy intervention program. The bill aims to incentivize and recognize high-performing schools and teachers, leverage best practices, and improve desired student outcomes across Idaho.
