This Concurrent Resolution encourages all counties in Hawaii to work together to design and create special license plates for motor vehicles that will honor the achievements of Carissa Kainani Moore, a celebrated surfer from Hawaii. The resolution highlights Moore's historic Olympic gold medal win in surfing's debut at the Tokyo 2020 Games, her numerous other surfing accolades, and her significant contributions to charitable causes and advocacy. It also requests that each county report back to the Hawaii State Legislature with their progress and suggestions, including any necessary new laws, by a specific date before the 2023 legislative session begins, and directs that copies of this resolution be sent to the leaders of each county government.
