Bill Summary
AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, the correction law, and the executive law, in relation to work related labor protests not being considered a parole violation
AI Summary
This bill amends the Criminal Procedure Law, the Correction Law, and the Executive Law to provide that individuals who are on parole, conditional release, or other types of supervised release shall not be deemed to be in violation of their release conditions solely because they participated in work-related labor protests, lawful labor disputes, strikes, or other concerted work stoppages or slowdowns under the Labor Law or the National Labor Relations Act. The purpose is to ensure that participation in these work-related labor activities does not result in the termination of an individual's supervised release.
