This bill amends existing law to provide for sage grouse game tags, to revise provisions regarding fees for swan, sage grouse, and sharptail grouse, and to revise provisions regarding violations. Specifically, the bill adds sage grouse to the list of wildlife for which residents and nonresidents can purchase game tags. It also revises the fees for swan, sage grouse, and sharptail grouse tags. Additionally, the bill removes the requirement to purchase a permit when hunting for sage grouse, and instead requires a permit when hunting for sharptail grouse anywhere in the state, except on licensed shooting preserves. The bill also makes several other changes to the fish and game laws, including updating references and language throughout the relevant sections of the Idaho Code.
