This Resolution allows candidates for the House of Representatives and current Members of the House to officially inform the Clerk of the House whether they plan to use a small donor financing system for their elections. This system, established by Title V of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 and further detailed in the For the People Act of 2021, aims to provide campaign funding through small contributions. Candidates and Members can submit this statement when they file their financial disclosure reports, and the Clerk will then make these statements publicly available on the House's official website. This provision applies to financial reports filed from the date this resolution is adopted.
