This bill enacts the "Wireless Broadband Eligible Facility Permitting Act" to provide for uniform municipal regulation of certain wireless facilities. Key provisions include: 1. Exempting eligible facility requests (modifications to existing wireless facilities that do not substantially change the physical dimensions) from municipal zoning, land use, or other discretionary permits, and creating a 60-day review process for such requests by the municipal building inspector. 2. Requiring municipalities to act on applications for wireless facilities (base stations within 90 days, towers within 150 days) in accordance with Federal Communications Commission regulations. 3. Allowing municipalities to enact zoning laws regulating the siting and installation of wireless facilities, as long as they comply with federal laws. 4. Providing a process for persons aggrieved by municipal actions inconsistent with the act to seek expedited review in the state supreme court. 5. Preempting any inconsistent state or local laws relating to the placement, collocation, modification, or maintenance of wireless facilities.
