This bill amends the existing law related to the Citizens' Advisory Commission on Federal Management Areas in Alaska. It requires that the members of the commission appointed by the governor be representative of the diversity of users and uses of federal land in the state, and at least three of the members must represent a corporation organized under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. The bill also extends the termination date of the commission from June 30, 2021, to June 30, 2029. Additionally, the bill includes a transition provision that requires the governor to appoint three new members who represent a corporation organized under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act to fill the vacancies created by the expiration of the terms of the three members with the earliest expiration dates who were filling public seats.
