This Concurrent Resolution formally requests the State Auditor to conduct a performance audit, which is an examination of how well a program or agency is operating and achieving its goals, of the Hawaii Information Portal, a state payroll system modernization project that replaced an old paper-based system in 2019. The audit will specifically look into the procedures used by the Department of Health and the Hawaii State Hospital in relation to this portal, especially given reports of complications and substantiated complaints. The Auditor is required to submit a report of their findings, including an analysis of the portal, an assessment of the department and hospital's procedures, and any recommendations for improvements or new legislation, to the Legislature before the start of the 2023 legislative session.
