This bill amends the Equal Pay Law to further provide for wage rates and the collection of unpaid wages. Specifically, it prohibits employers from restricting employees from discussing or disclosing their wages, from relying on an applicant's prior wage history in determining their wages, and from retaliating against employees who exercise their rights under the law. It also expands the remedies available to employees who are paid less than the wages they are entitled to, including the ability for the Attorney General to bring an action on behalf of employees. The bill also extends the statute of limitations for wage discrimination claims from two to three years for willful violations.
