This Resolution officially recognizes April 17 through April 23, 2022, as Volunteer Week in the State of Hawaii, continuing a tradition of participation that began in 2020. This designation aligns with National Volunteer Week, an initiative first established in 1974 to promote community involvement and acknowledge the vital role volunteers play in driving social change. The resolution aims to encourage further volunteerism and community engagement across Hawaii by formally observing this period. As part of the process, a certified copy of this Resolution will be sent to the Governor.
