The report should cover the council's efforts, including information on a 2019 appropriation intended to fund two full-time positions for the council, which were not filled due to budget restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as current resource and budgetary needs, recommendations for developing Filipino-related courses and curriculum, and strategies to enhance the representation and success of Filipino students, faculty, and staff. The University of Hawaii is required to submit this report, along with any proposed legislative actions, to the State Legislature by a specific deadline before the 2023 legislative session convenes.
