This Resolution requests that the Creative Resurgence Task Force, a group established to support and encourage the creative sector and economy, continue its work. The task force was initially formed in response to the significant negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic on creative industries and arts education, recognizing the vital role of creativity in society and the economy. The Resolution asks the task force to keep examining and developing measures, policies, and programs to foster creativity and innovation through the arts, culture, and humanities in the State. It also requires the task force to submit a report of its findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, to the Legislature by a specific date before the 2023 legislative session and to dissolve either upon submitting its report or on June 30, 2030, whichever date is later, extending its original sunset date.
