This bill amends the Education Law to increase the maximum time limits for tuition assistance program (TAP) awards. Specifically, it allows undergraduate students to be eligible for up to six academic years of study in the aggregate, or seven academic years in the aggregate if the program of study normally requires five years. The bill also increases the maximum eligibility for students enrolled in approved two-year programs from three to four academic years in the aggregate. This change aims to provide students with more flexibility and support to complete their higher education programs.
