AI Summary

This bill authorizes the Attorney General to provide grants for technical assistance and training in the operation or establishment of a lethality assessment program. A lethality assessment program is a program that rapidly connects victims of domestic violence to community-based service providers, helps first responders and others in the justice system identify and respond to potentially lethal circumstances, and identifies victims of domestic violence who are at high risk of serious injury or death. The bill authorizes $5 million in appropriations for each fiscal year from 2022 to 2026 to carry out this program, and uses definitions from the Violence Against Women Act of 1994.
