This bill amends the Disaster Recovery Reform Act of 2018 to require the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator, in coordination with other agencies, to conduct a study and develop a plan to streamline and consolidate the collection of information from disaster assistance applicants and grantees. The bill also requires the FEMA Administrator to convene a working group to identify and address potential duplication or fragmentation in preliminary damage assessments after disaster declarations, and to explore the use of emerging technologies to expedite these assessments. The comprehensive report on these efforts must be submitted to Congress and made publicly available.
