This bill amends the laws regarding town committee elections and membership. The key provisions are: 1. Each political party shall elect a ward or town committee at the biennial state elections and presidential primaries, composed of members who have enrolled in that party at least 90 days prior to the nomination paper filing deadline or are newly registered voters in the party. 2. Ward and town committee members will serve a 2-year term and must reside in the ward or town they represent. If a member changes their party enrollment or residence, they will cease to be a member. 3. Ward and town committees are not limited in the number of members they can elect, as long as the number is at least 3 per ward or town. Committees must notify the Secretary of State of the number of members to be elected by August 1st of the prior year.
