This bill amends Chapter 18C of the General Laws to require the juvenile court department of the Massachusetts trial court to provide the Office of the Child Advocate with information regarding key court performance measures in child abuse and neglect cases. These measures include the number of children under the court's jurisdiction, subsequent child abuse/neglect incidents, reasons for permanency achievement or non-achievement, the number of judges per case, service of process, time to permanency and case closure, and other relevant data. The juvenile court must report these performance measures to the Office of the Child Advocate quarterly, and the Office may require the data to be categorized by various demographics and case attributes.
