Bill Summary
Relative to presumptive disability retirement of certain public employees. Public Service.
AI Summary
This bill amends the presumptive disability law to provide that any condition of impairment of health caused by a blood-borne infectious disease (such as HIV, AIDS, or hepatitis) resulting in total or partial disability or death to certain public employees, including uniformed members of fire and police departments, corrections officers, and airport workers, shall be presumed to have been suffered in the line of duty, unless proven otherwise.
