This bill makes several changes to laws related to outdoor activities and the conservation of natural resources in Massachusetts. It amends existing laws to: allow deer hunting by bow and arrow on Sundays and legal holidays during the open season; prohibit interfering with or harassing individuals engaged in the lawful harvesting of fish and wildlife; authorize the director of the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife to regulate the use of hunting ammunition; and update requirements for the use of bows, arrows, and crossbows for hunting purposes. The bill also repeals a section related to the use of lead shot for waterfowl hunting and removes a subsection that prohibited the possession or use of a rifle, revolver, or pistol while deer hunting with a shotgun during the open season.
