This bill amends Chapter 90 of the General Laws to authorize the Registrar of Motor Vehicles to suspend or revoke the license, learner's permit, or vehicle registration of a resident of the Commonwealth or an individual licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the state, if they have an unpaid fine or civil administrative penalty issued by the Division of Professional Licensure for violating regulations governing the licensing of construction supervisors, or by the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation for undertaking or bidding on residential contracting work without a proper certificate of registration. The bill specifies the procedures for the Registrar to receive notice of the unpaid fine or penalty, prohibit issuance or renewal of the license/registration, and reinstate or renew it once the individual is in compliance with the order for payment or upon court order.
