Bill Summary
AN ACT Relating to ensuring that equitable COVID-19 vaccine dose allocation is considered before a county may be reverted to a more restrictive phase under the healthy Washington: Roadmap to recovery plan; creating a new section; and declaring an emergency.
AI Summary
This bill requires the Department of Health to monitor the COVID-19 vaccine dose allocation for each county in the state and ensure that they are receiving an equitable share in proportion to the state's overall allocation. If the Department determines that a county is in danger of being reverted to a more restrictive phase under the Healthy Washington: Roadmap to Recovery plan, they must immediately adjust the vaccine dose allocation to ensure that the county's allocation does not fall below the statewide average. The bill also prohibits a county from being reverted to a more restrictive phase if it has not received an equitable share of COVID-19 vaccine doses. Finally, the bill declares an emergency and takes effect immediately.
