This bill establishes the Pharmaceutical Transparency Review Board, an independent body that will review high-cost prescription drug products and develop recommendations for addressing affordability burdens faced by residents, government agencies, health plans, providers, employers, and other stakeholders. The bill requires manufacturers to report detailed information on the costs and profits associated with certain prescription drugs, including research and development, manufacturing, marketing, and patient assistance programs. The Pharmaceutical Transparency Review Fund is also established to provide funding for the Board's activities. The Board is required to submit annual reports on prescription drug pricing trends and make recommendations for improving affordability.
