This bill amends existing law to revise provisions regarding the powers and duties of the Idaho Wolf Depredation Control Board, wolf control assessments, the taking of wolves, and the control of depredation of wolves on livestock, domestic animals, and wildlife populations. Specifically, the bill authorizes the use of any method for the take of wolves, including year-round trapping on private property, and allows the Wolf Depredation Control Board to contract with federal agencies, state agencies, private contractors, and political subdivisions to manage wolf populations. The bill also increases the annual transfer from the Fish and Game Fund to the Wolf Control Fund and expands the ability to control wolves that are depredating on wildlife populations.
