This bill amends the Pennsylvania Election Code to further regulate applications for official absentee and mail-in ballots. Specifically, it prohibits private organizations or individuals, other than the Secretary of the Commonwealth, from sending absentee or mail-in ballot applications to qualified registered electors. It also makes changes to the permanent mail-in voter list, requiring all qualified registered electors to be placed on the list and allowing them to be removed at their request. Additionally, the bill allows the Secretary of the Commonwealth to develop an electronic system for applying for mail-in ballots and requesting permanent mail-in voter status.
