This bill extends the authority of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to manage deer and bear populations until December 31, 2024. Specifically, it extends the DEC's ability to regulate open seasons, bag limits, and the feeding of bears, as well as issue deer management permits to control deer populations. The bill also extends the expiration date of certain amendments to the Environmental Conservation Law related to deer management from December 31, 2021 to December 31, 2024.
