This bill authorizes the town of Yorktown in Westchester County, New York to discontinue the use of certain parkland and lease it to HESP Solar LLC for the purpose of constructing a solar facility and electric vehicle charging stations. The bill requires that all proceeds from the alienation and lease of the parkland be used for acquiring new parkland and/or making capital improvements to existing park and recreational facilities. The bill also includes provisions to ensure that the leased land reverts back to the town for public park and recreational purposes if it ceases to be used for the specified purposes, and that any federal requirements related to the alienation or conversion of parkland are complied with.
