This bill, the Stop Taxpayer Funding of Hamas Act, prohibits any direct or indirect United States government funding for the territory of Gaza unless the President certifies that such funds will not benefit Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, or any other designated foreign terrorist organization, or entities controlled or influenced by them. It also prohibits the use of U.S. funds in Gaza through any United Nations entity or office unless the President certifies that such entity or office is not encouraging or teaching anti-Israel or anti-Semitic ideas or propaganda.
