This bill requires the Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Workforce Development to take all measures necessary to ensure that a One-Stop Career Center reopen immediately and remain open and ensure that the department and its agencies continue to provide services to individuals, including assistance with unemployment insurance. If the commissioner determines that the temporary closure of a One-Stop Career Center is necessary, the department is required to provide reasonable alternatives to prospective customers of that agency location. The commissioner is required to report to the Governor and Legislature on the commission's efforts to prevent agency closures.
