This bill, the Blue Carbon Protection Act, establishes a Blue Carbon Program within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to further conservation objectives for fish and wildlife habitat, coastal resilience, and the incorporation of ecosystem services from carbon storage into existing policies and programs. Additionally, the bill authorizes funding for coastal and marine restoration and protection activities on lands managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, and NOAA.
