This bill aims to ensure the safety and security of senior housing facility residents by requiring such facilities to provide security services at all times. The bill defines "security services" as including observing and reporting unlawful activity, preventing or detecting theft or misappropriation, protecting individuals or property, and controlling access to the premises. The bill also requires all employees and other appropriate personnel of senior housing facilities to be trained on safety and security protocols. The Secretary of Public Safety and Security is tasked with promulgating regulations for the implementation of this bill, in consultation with various stakeholders.
