This bill, the Bipartisan Solution to Cyclical Violence Act, amends the Public Health Service Act to establish a grant program supporting trauma center violence intervention and violence prevention programs. The bill authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services to award grants to eligible entities, such as state-designated trauma centers or nonprofit entities, to establish or expand violence intervention or prevention programs designed to reduce the incidence of reinjury and reincarceration caused by intentional violent trauma, excluding intimate partner violence. The grants will be for a 3-year period and range from $250,000 to $500,000. The bill also requires the Secretary to develop and disseminate best practices for intentional violent trauma prevention based on findings reported by the grant recipients.
