This bill amends the Revised School Code to modify the requirements for public schools concerning certain vaccinations. The key provisions are: 1. School districts, intermediate school districts, and public school academies are prohibited from adopting or implementing policies that require students to receive an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) vaccination to attend school, ride a school bus, or participate in school activities. They are also prohibited from discriminating against or treating students differently based on their EUA vaccination status. 2. If a school district, intermediate school district, or public school academy adopts a policy requiring COVID-19 vaccines that have received final FDA authorization, they must provide a waiver process for parents, guardians, or students to request an exemption based on religious or medical reasons. Schools are prohibited from requiring these students to receive the COVID-19 vaccine or discriminating against them. 3. The bill also prohibits school districts, intermediate school districts, and public school academies from requiring individuals to receive a COVID-19 vaccine to attend a meeting of the school board.
