This bill allows the chair of any municipal board in a city or town that has accepted the provisions of this section to postpone a public hearing due to a weather-related emergency. The chair must consult with local public safety officials and then declare the meeting recessed and continued to a new time, date, and place. If the new time and place cannot be identified immediately, the chair must select a new location within 3 days and announce it. The chair must also provide notice of the postponement in a clear, legible format, file it with the municipal clerk, post it in a visible location, and may use electronic or print media to circulate the notice.
