This bill establishes a working group on electric vehicles to make recommendations on the development, adoption, and integration of light and heavy duty electric vehicles into the transportation and energy systems of the United States. The working group will be composed of federal and non-federal stakeholders, and will submit joint reports to Congress on the status of electric vehicle adoption, opportunities and challenges, and a strategy to overcome barriers and promote wider adoption. The bill also requires the Secretaries of Transportation and Energy to publish and update an electric vehicle resource guide to provide information to consumers, governments, and businesses. The working group will terminate after submitting the third report.
