An act relating to carrying of firearms without licenses; amending s. 790.01, F.S.; deleting a requirement that a license to carry a concealed firearm is required in order to carry such a firearm; limiting the areas in which a person is prohibited from carrying a concealed firearm; revising criminal penalties; amending s. 790.015, F.S.; revising provisions relating to the carrying of concealed weapons or firearms by persons who are not residents of this state; amending s. 790.06, F.S.; conforming provisions to changes made by the act; authorizing the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to issue reciprocity licenses to carry concealed weapons or firearms; amending s. 790.145, F.S.; conforming provisions to changes made by the act; amending s. 790.25, F.S.; specifying that a person not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing a firearm or other weapon may own, possess, and lawfully use firearms and other weapons, ammunition, and supplies for lawful purposes; amending ss. 30.15, 790.053, 790.251, and 921.0022, F.S.; conforming provisions to changes made by the act; providing an effective date.
