An act relating to menstrual hygiene products in public schools; providing a short title; creating s. 1006.064, F.S.; defining the term "menstrual hygiene products"; requiring school districts to make menstrual hygiene products available, at no charge, in each school nurse's office or other physical school facility for health services; providing applicability; providing an effective date. WHEREAS, menstrual hygiene products are a health care necessity and are not items that can be foregone or substituted easily, and WHEREAS, access to menstrual hygiene products is a serious and ongoing need in this state, and WHEREAS, when students do not have access to affordable menstrual hygiene products, they may miss multiple days of school every month, and WHEREAS, when students have access to quality menstrual hygiene products, they are able to continue with their daily lives with minimal interruption, NOW, THEREFORE,
