This bill establishes a Manufactured Housing Community Improvement Grant Program within the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The program would provide competitive grants to eligible recipients, which are partnerships between grantees under the Community Development Block Grant program and eligible manufactured home communities, nonprofit entities, or consortia of nonprofits. The grants can be used for construction, reconstruction, repair, or clearance of housing, facilities, and improvements in or serving manufactured housing communities to protect the health and safety of residents and ensure the long-term sustainability of the communities. The Secretary of HUD is given authority to waive or specify alternative requirements for any law or regulation, except those related to fair housing, nondiscrimination, labor standards, and the environment, to facilitate the use of the grant funds.
