This bill, the Medicaid Dental Benefit Act of 2021, aims to improve coverage of dental and oral health services for adults under Medicaid. It would make dental and oral health services a mandatory coverage for Medicaid-eligible adults starting in 2023, with a 100% Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP) for these services during a 12-quarter period. The bill also requires the development of a core set of adult oral health quality and equity measures, and annual state reporting on related data.
