This bill amends the Corrections Code of 1953 to require the Department of Corrections to assist prisoners with obtaining identification documents and provide them with information about voter registration and election processes before their release on parole or discharge. The bill also removes the provision that a prisoner's refusal to obtain identification documents can be included in their parole eligibility report. Additionally, the bill creates a Reentry Success Fund to cover the expenses of these required activities.
