This bill adds to existing law to provide that vaccine-related injuries shall be compensable under workers' compensation, and it directs that the law be construed in favor of compensation for victims of such injuries. Specifically, the bill establishes a presumption that any accident or injury suffered by an employee who received a vaccine required by their employer is compensable, unless there is substantial evidence to the contrary. The bill also states that the workers' compensation commission should adjust the experience rating of employers that require employee vaccinations if claims arise from those vaccinations. The bill declares an emergency and takes effect immediately upon passage and approval.
