The training must cover the IG's role and responsibilities, mechanisms for reporting fraud and other misconduct, protections against retaliation, and opportunities to engage with the IG's staff. The bill also requires the IG to design and update the training as needed, and the Secretary to provide the training through the VA's talent management system.
