This bill requires the Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with relevant intelligence community officials, to submit a report to the congressional intelligence committees within 60 days of the bill's enactment. The report must provide details on the cooperation between China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) regarding defense, security, technology, and other strategically sensitive matters that implicate U.S. national security interests. It must also include the most recent quarterly assessment by the intelligence community of measures the UAE has implemented to safeguard U.S. technology and the reliability of any assurances provided by the UAE. Additionally, the Director must certify whether these assurances are viable and sufficient to protect U.S. technology from being transferred to China or other third parties.
