This bill requires candidates for offices of municipalities, cooperative housing corporations, condominiums, and homeowners associations with at least 2,000 units or 5,000 residents to file reports of donations and disbursements with the State Board of Elections. If the local jurisdiction requires such reporting, they must transmit the reports to the State Board, which will make them publicly available online. If the local jurisdiction does not require reporting, candidates must file the reports directly with the State Board under the election law requirements outlined in the bill.
