This bill prohibits nurses, counselors, teachers, principals, and other school officials from encouraging or coercing a minor child to withhold information from their parent or guardian about their perceived gender identity being inconsistent with their biological sex. It also prohibits healthcare professionals from performing certain gender reassignment procedures on minors, including puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and various surgeries, unless the minor has a medically verifiable disorder of sex development. Violations of these provisions are punishable as a class 4 felony.
